Villa (Yasso) 800’s Run (Speedwork)

What are Villa (Yasso) 800’s? It is interval run training. We start with a warm up, then run 800 meters (1/2 mile) with a break in between. We will start the first workout with 4 X 800s increasing by an 800 each week. Once we’re at 8 X 800 we will go faster. Great way to increase your run speed and get some heat tolerance training in as it gets warmer. Individuals will run their pace, but as we’re going around McKinley Park we’ll see a lot of each other. Meet at the corner of 35th and Park Way.
