Voler has extended STC’s Order deadline to 2/13.

You will notice that Voler has grouped all tri-specific gear into a single category. This is to help us meet their minimum. STC will be adding 20 or so jerseys to the order, so we will definitely fill the Tri-Apparel Category.

At this point it does not look like we will fill the Bottoms/Long Sleeve categories, which are considered Cycling Apparel. In that case, Voler will cancel individual orders in un-met categories, & not bill Members’ Cr Cards.

STC’s Official Club Jersey is the Women’s/Men’s Tri Race Top, made from Voler’s newest Tech material & replacing the Sleeveless Tri Jersey. It still has the 2 pockets in back. Color/logo theme remains unchanged from 2011, our current kit. Cost is $75.35.

The Online Ordering System for our next Club order was just set up by Voler. The new order deadline is January 30th February 13th for delivery on March 23rd.

Each Member needs to set up a personal account with Voler to place their Individual order, even though it’s part of a Team Order. One nice change this time: Voler will ship each order to the address of the Member placing their Custom Order (no more shipping to us and arranging for pick-up!).

Remember, the minimums in each category need to be met for that category to be filled: Short Sleeve, Long Sleeve and Bottoms. STC will fill the Short Sleeve category by ordering our membership Jerseys. But the other categories depend on member orders. So please place your orders early! Then we can monitor progress of each category and avoid whole categories being cancelled. If a category minimum is not met, Voler will cancel the category & not bill each person’s Cr Card items ordered within that category. They will only bill for items in categories whose Mins have been met.

STC encourages all members to purchase our team kits for training and racing to show your support of STC!

Logo: The logo and kit will remain the same as our most recent order from Kickoff Party back in April (white and blue base with our updated red/blue logo).

Please note: Since all Voler items are made custom they can not be returned or exchanged. All sales are final. Please read through the descriptions carefully to make sure you get exactly the items you want. Please also use the sizing chart provided by Voler to determine the correct size.

This may be our only for the year, so please take the opportunity to purchase your STC items now. We don’t want anyone to miss out!

As we begin winding down the 2011 season, STC’s Board of Directors is already making plans for a great Year-end Party. This year’s party will be on Wednesday, November 2nd from 6 to 9 p.m. at a new venue, the Aerospace Museum at McClellan AFB. As always, STC will provide plenty of food & fun. We’ll also announce our Year End & Rewards Prize winners, & officially induct our 2012 Board Members. You won’t want to miss it, so please plan to attend. Evites with all the details will be coming to your email boxes in early October. Be sure you’re email address is current in our membership database.

TBF’s Granite Bay Team Challenge & STC Potluck BBQ is on Sunday, September 25 and STC needs you! The Northern CA Tri Club Championships are fast approaching & STC will be competing as a Team for Fastest Team. Members of all ages & abilities are encouraged to sign up for the event & race as part of the Sac Tri Club Team. The more Members who participate, the more points we accumulate & the better our chances to win! So please come out & support the club. To celebrate our efforts, STC will be also host a Potluck BBQ after the race 11 AM – 2 PM. STC will provide the burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers & soda/water. Whether you plan to race or not, please join us for the BBQ & support Team STC.

This year, Sac Tri Club is combining the Season Kick-Off and the Jersey Pickup into one big party! The Season Kickoff and Jersey Party will be a great chance to hang out with your fellow triathletes and talk about what races are on your agenda for the year.

We will have delicious food, catered by club sponsor Tazzina Bistro. Our own Rebecca Reichardt owns and operates this great Bistro in Woodland, CA.

Of course, our premier sponsor, Fleet Feet Sacramento, will have great discounts and lots of new items to consider as you enjoy the evening with all of your STC friends. Fleet Feet also has lots of ways for you to improve your racing skills with the latest training and gear.

We will be distributing the 2011 Voler order at the party. If you haven’t seen the new STC jersey, you can check out the design on our Facebook page or the STC website. The STC board listened to your comments and suggestions and has incorporated the new logo into the 2011 design.

Party is free for 2011 members, $10 guest fee.

A limited selection of retro and 2010 jerseys will be available for purchase at the party as well.

Calling all STC Members!

Yes, it’s that time already…the Tri season is winding down with a great showing at TBF’s Golden Gate Tri this morning. We are working hard on an updated logo design for 2011, a new apparel order, & our best Year End Party ever at Hot Italian. We are also gearing up for STC’s Annual Board Member Elections.

I am proud to serve with your current Board of Directors, & happy to announce that all would like to continue at their posts into 2011. As many of you already know, serving on Board is a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. These are unpaid positions, & each Board Member is required to attend monthly meetings (2 hours), as well as volunteer to run the STC Booth at 2 local races, among other responsibilities.

This year we were very fortunate, & had a full Board (6 Members), all of whom have worked hard all year to make STC even better.

The 2011 Board Members will be installed at STCs Year End Party, Wednesday, November 3 at Hot Italian downtown.

STC member Sheila Leard is in our thoughts as she recovers from injuries sustained in a bike accident last week while training for Ironman Arizona. We are happy to report that she is home from the hospital and well on the road to recovery.

We are having a membership drive from now until June 30th. If you are a 2008 or 2009 member who has not yet renewed, don’t miss out on this great deal. STC is offering two options for renewing by June 30, 2010; both of which are outstanding values.

Option 1 – Simply pay a reduced $30 renewal fee by June 30th. The normal renewal dues are $35, so you save $5.00!

Option 2 – Pay $55 for your renewal and receive a 2010 STC Limited Edition 10th Anniversary Voler Jersey (while our current inventory lasts – “first come, first served”). This is the best value, renewal is normally $35 without a jersey.

If you have already renewed your membership for 2010, you may purchase a 2010 Limited Edition 10th Anniversary Voler Jersey for $25.00 (also while our current inventory lasts – “first come, first serve”).

All renewal forms can be found in our Membership area and payment can be made by check or credit card (cash is also an option if you want to arrange payment with a Board member). Active.com is not available for processing these reduced fee renewals; please use the paper forms and mail to the PO Box address on the form.

Your STC membership includes excellent benefits for all ability levels. The reserved bike racks at major local events are a favorite (one member noted that the bike racks alone are worth the membership fee!). We have an exceptional website, Yahoo! Groups discussion boards, member led workouts, clinics and fun social outings. Our membership includes a full-range of skill levels and knowledge, from elite Ironman competitors to newbie Super Sprint triathletes. You don’t have to swim, bike AND run; any of the three are welcome (great for relays) and you won’t find a better group anywhere with as many active members who are willing to share their knowledge and have fun at the same time.
