Meetup is a powerful website with lots of great tools, but can take a little getting used to when learning all the features. Here is some information to help you get started

The STC Kick-off Party for 2012 will be one of our best events yet. Fleet Feet of Sacramento has decided to turn the evening into a HUGE Triathlon event. The evening will start at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3rd with vendor exhibitions and a Fun Run at 6:00 p.m. with the Fleet Feet Running Team. Everyone is invited to run, if you feel like it. Or, you can stay and visit the Exhibitor Booths, including Timex, Zoot, Gatorade, Power Bar, TBF, CWX, and more.

We will hold a raffle for great prizes provided by the vendors and a few others that STC will be providing. We will have more information on Monday evening regarding prizes and other event details.

So, mark your calendar and plan on attending this event with STC and your fellow triathletes. If you haven’t renewed your membership, the STC 2012 Kick-off Party is a perfect time to do it.

Our webteam has launched a new feature available to all members that allows them to subscribe to discussion board threads similar to the service we had available through Yahoo! Groups.

To get opt-in, log in to your account, click My Account, look for the radio buttons next to “Discussion Email Preference.”

UPDATE – February 2, 2012

Voler has extended STC’s Order deadline to 2/13.

You will notice that Voler has grouped all tri-specific gear into a single category. This is to help us meet their minimum. STC will be adding 20 or so jerseys to the order, so we will definitely fill the Tri-Apparel Category.

At this point it does not look like we will fill the Bottoms/Long Sleeve categories, which are considered Cycling Apparel. In that case, Voler will cancel individual orders in un-met categories, & not bill Members’ Cr Cards.

STC’s Official Club Jersey is the Women’s/Men’s Tri Race Top, made from Voler’s newest Tech material & replacing the Sleeveless Tri Jersey. It still has the 2 pockets in back. Color/logo theme remains unchanged from 2011, our current kit. Cost is $75.35.

The Online Ordering System for our next Club order was just set up by Voler. The new order deadline is January 30th February 13th for delivery on March 23rd.

Each Member needs to set up a personal account with Voler to place their Individual order, even though it’s part of a Team Order. One nice change this time: Voler will ship each order to the address of the Member placing their Custom Order (no more shipping to us and arranging for pick-up!).

Remember, the minimums in each category need to be met for that category to be filled: Short Sleeve, Long Sleeve and Bottoms. STC will fill the Short Sleeve category by ordering our membership Jerseys. But the other categories depend on member orders. So please place your orders early! Then we can monitor progress of each category and avoid whole categories being cancelled. If a category minimum is not met, Voler will cancel the category & not bill each person’s Cr Card items ordered within that category. They will only bill for items in categories whose Mins have been met.

STC encourages all members to purchase our team kits for training and racing to show your support of STC!

Logo: The logo and kit will remain the same as our most recent order from Kickoff Party back in April (white and blue base with our updated red/blue logo).

Please note: Since all Voler items are made custom they can not be returned or exchanged. All sales are final. Please read through the descriptions carefully to make sure you get exactly the items you want. Please also use the sizing chart provided by Voler to determine the correct size.
