Bring your own bike and hook it up to a computrainer for two (2), 90 minute workouts per week. Get a group together and make your workouts really fun. This is a great way to get some serious training in while the weather is limiting your outdoor options.

STC wins 2012 California Sprint Triathlon Tri Club Championship

October 9th, 2012 Admin Posted in Events, News, Triathlons No Comments »

STC did it! On September 23, 2012 and by the slimmest of margins, STC edged out Chico Tri Club to take the 2012 Club Championships! STC took home the $500 Prize, in addition to a lovely trophy (which conveniently doubled as a tall, celebratory beer stein), and bragging rights.

Congrats go out to Chico, Reno, Delta, and all the great teams out there. The competition was fierce! Thank you to all our STC members who participated, whether by racing or coming out to cheer us on.

STC wins the 2012 Sprint distance Triathlon Club Championship

The race finish was nothing short of legendary – a nail biter to the very end! Denise Detrano crossed the line and tied it up for STC in her division. Then Suzanne Seaman rocked the house by winning her AG, and scoring the additional points STC needed to win the Club Championship!

Mark Poole, long-time member, Workout Lead, and STC’s unofficial Dali Lama, summed it up well on our Discussion Board…”Denise came through first and to our relief she tells us that Suzanne is not far behind. True to Denise’s word, we find Suzanne with the STC President, KC, escorting her to the finish. We joined KC and ran with Suzanne to the finish. How awesome is that? Suzanne won her Age Group and the Club Championship! Probably the coolest part of the day was that everyone counted. Every single point mattered. A total team effort. That was awesome!”
